Layout

Our site has been built several times over. At first, we went the ordinary route — a professionally designed site that was all but useless when we needed to make changes to anything. We then ditched the professionals and did our own design, but kept it in line with the banal “aggressive lawyer” sites that you see all the time. Finally, we decided to chuck the idea that we needed to be as “aggressive” and “bulldog” as everyone else and let our work speak for itself. Yes, our site is different (as told to us by all kinds of clients), but maybe that gets us some deserved attention.

Blog

As appellate lawyers our life is about persuasive writing and argument. So a blog is a natural for us. But if you traipse through our posts, you’ll see that we write about all kinds of things. Honestly, that makes us better lawyers. Plus who wants to write about legal opinions all day? We’ve left that job to some of our fellow appellate compatriots (if you’re interested in those sites, email us and we’ll give you a list).

Photography

While many a lawyer has hobbies outside of the law, we’re combining our love for photography as part of our law practice schema. Our first big project was photographing the homeless in Fort Worth. We did so to become better advocates in the courtroom — a number of our clients lived on the streets and we wanted to better understand them. We’re currently working on another project, but we’re keeping it under wraps until we’ve got it almost completed.
